Skincare Products I Have Fallen in Love With

Image
Skin care is something that has been important to me, but has also been kicked to the back burner for awhile now because Im just so tired in the evenings. Being in the throws of motherhood with toddlers and pregnancies and up all night feedings can be exhausting and leave little desire for any self care. BUT hang in there mama because Im here to tell you that it does get better and you will slowly find your groove again and a desire for some self care.  Now that we are done having babies I have made a promise to myself to start taking better care of myself, skin included. Somehow it seems easier knowing I wont be putting my body through one of the hardest things its ever done again IE: growing another human and then supplying it with food at all hours of the day and night.  So Im going to share some of my favorite products that I have noticed the biggest difference with my skin since using. I had always wanted a  Clarisonic , but never wanted to spend the money. I finally purchased

A Perfect Fit

Do you ever have one of those spots in your house where you are just waiting for the perfect thing to come along and fit the space? You know the spot and you probably have the measurements for it saved in the notes app on your phone. As soon as we moved into our house there was a big gray utility breaker box on the wall that you see right when you walk in the front door. I knew I wanted to hide it with a tapestry or something. The only thing wrong is the wall it is on is concrete and I knew whatever I hung had to be able to be moved easily so that the breaker box could be accessed if needed. Of course it took forever for our stuff to arrive and covering the ugly gray box became low on my priority list once our stuff was finally delivered. As we were unpacking and digging our way through all of our items I found my chalk board that used to hang in our kitchen in our last house! I held it up and sure enough it would cover the box perfectly! The only problem was that I painted the wood fr

So when we move into a house one of the first things our family needs is a place to set keys, sunglasses, and (if you're my husband) a place to hang your lanyard for work...because if said lanyard isn't hung by said keys then the husband forgets it and has to call his wife to bring it to him and that's always a fun time. You feel me? Let me back track a little. We just recently moved to Okinawa Japan which is typhoon alley. Yes, we went from tornado alley straight to typhoon alley. Most of the walls in our home on base are concrete and because of this it makes hanging some things a challenge. After racking my brain I ended up using an  Ikea spice rack  -see what I did there- and turned it upside down so that it created a shelf with the wooden bar on the bottom. Then I ordered some  S hooks  on Amazon to hang on the wooden bar so that we could hook our keys on it. Now, the tricky part was attaching the actual spice rack to the concrete wall. I decided to use small comman

Hey guys! This is going to be my first blog post *insert super nervous face here* I've wanted to start a blog for years. Before kids, before social media was so huge, and before most people my age probably really knew what a blog was.  I just never did it because I didn't feel good enough or maybe it was fear...fear that no one would read it or that they would think it was silly, but now that I'm older and wiser my attitude is who cares!? Josh (my husband) encouraged me to do it for fun and as an outlet. So here I am trying to figure out how to start a blog! For those of you that don't know me personally, I am a stay at home mom to T H R E E little boys. It can be pretty exhausting at times, hence the need for a hobby ;) Our oldest is five and he will start kindergarten the beginning of September. Our youngest will be one at the end of august -cue the crying- and our sour patch of a middle child is a threenager! So as you can imagine there is never a dull moment around
